Das kleine Haus liegt wirklich sehr idyllisch oberhalb von Rabac, in einer angenehmen und ruhigen Umgebung und trotzdem ist es nicht weit vom Meer entfernt. Die Besitzer sind überaus liebenswert und hilfsbereit ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir haben nicht nur gute Tipps bekommen, sondern auch einen sehr guten Grappa mit Honig und Kräutern 👍! Das Haus ist Blitz sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Vielen Dank an Edi und seine Frau für den tollen Aufenthalt im Haus Salakova!

Edi was a wonderful host. He met us at the house, explained all the features and amenities, and gave us good recommendations: The home also has great outdoor living spaces which we were unable to use as it was still cool outside. Will be great in warmer months. Very quiet and comfortable beds.

Wat een warm welkom in dit fijne vakantiehuis. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad en veel mooie historische plaatsen bezocht. Wat is Istrië mooi! Edi en zijn vrouw Linda hebben een prachtig huis, we konden merken dat ze er met liefde een fijn familiehuis van hebben gemaakt. Een hartverwarmende huis, superschoon en een heerlijk bed. Het contact met Edi was erg gezellig en vriendschappelijk. We denken ook terug aan de gezamenlijke borrels en leuke gesprekken. Edi and his wife Linda were great hosts. They greeted us and made sure we knew where everything was and how things worked. They were very friendly and offered lots to useful tips about the area. We loved the peaceful setting, beautiful view, and covered outdoor spaces. Shops and the city market are close by in Labin, so it's easy to stock up on provisions. We also enjoyed eating out and visited a great wine shop in Labin. The beach is down a steep road and requires parking in designated areas (free in the offseason). There's a lovely promenade along the beach that has great views of the water, islands, Rabac, and Labin. We found this house to be very relaxing and perfect for our needs. The many dining table options were great for us and there was plenty of sun & shade spaces for lounging. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We received a really generous welcome from Edi, a warm, charismatic and proud Istrian who speaks four languages (Croatian, Italian, German and English) and was very keen to share some of his locally-made Rakija flavoured with mistletoe (be warned, powerful stuff)! We had a great stay, despite poor weather, taking full advantage of the house and its amenities (outdoor BBQ area fully weather-tested). Would love to come back and experience it in better weather. Thanks again Edi, you’re a top host!

What a wonderful time we had in Edi and Linda's lovely house in Rabac. The fantastic covered outdoor kitchen became our favourite place to cook, eat and relax. There is even a dishwasher there! We enjoyed the little encounters with Edi when he came to feed the cat and let us taste the most delicious fish and pasta sauce. The house has everything you need and is very clean and cosy. It is located at the end of the street and is a quiet base for trips to beautiful Istria. Or the cosy seaside resort down the mountain. We felt so at home that we wanted to stay. Thanks Edi and Linda you are heartwarming people!

We had a very pleasant stay. The house is at the end of a quiet street, so the location of the house was perfect. Everything you needed was present. The owner is a very nice man and was very helpfull. I can recommend this house very much, if you want to visit Istria.

Die Besitzer der Unterkunft (Edi und Linda) waren super nett und haben uns vom ersten Tag an sehr umsorgt. Wir wurden sogar mit Pfannkuchen und kroatischen Leckereien versorgt ;) Auch unsere Kinder fanden es super toll und hatten viel Platz zum spielen (vor allem der Außenbereich ist super). Auch diesbezüglich haben unsere Gastgeber uns mit offenen Armen empfangen und waren auch super Kinderlieb und einfach tolle Gastgeber. Der Unterkunft selbst mangelt es an nichts. mit 2 Schlafzimmern und zusätzlichen Badezimmern, Küche und sogar einer Küche im Außenbereich + mehreren tollen Sitzmöglichkeiten waren wir super umsorgt. Da hat es auch nichts mehr ausgemacht, dass es kein klassisches Wohnzimmer gab. Alles in allem waren wir super glücklich mit der Unterkunft und kommen gerne wieder! Danke für alles!

Das kleine Häuschen am Ende einer Bergstraße hatte alles, was wir suchten. Ruhe, mit einer großen Outdoorküche und gemütlichen Sitz- und Liegebereichen. Das Meer ist mit dem Auto 4 Minuten entfernt, der nächste Markt in Labin 10 Minuten. Kommen gerne wieder!

Gut ausgestattet Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Auf Grund der Fotos war uns nicht bewusst, dass eines der Schlafzimmer ein Durchgangszimmer ist. Es ist auch gut zu wissen, dass sich die Unterkunft 180m über dem Meeresspiegel befindet, dadurch ist der Weg zum Strand ohne Auto anstrengend.

We had a wonderful time at Edi’s house. The location is beautiful - at the top of the village, in a peaceful spot with a view across to the sea from the top bedroom and the top part of the garden. We loved having breakfast in the garden looking out to sea. It was a stormy mid-October week so we were glad of the wall heaters, and the candles made it feel extra cozy. The cute kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and we slept well in the comfy bed on the top floor. We were two, so managed fine without a sofa/indoor sitting area even on wet days by using the bedroom on the ground floor as a sitting room, but it would have been less comfortable for 4 people in bad weather. We went out every day to explore and lived Istria - welcoming, beautiful and amazing food/wine to enjoy. The local market in Labin was fabulous and we did most of our shopping there. Edi was welcoming and responsive, and we would happily stay there again, ideally in summer to properly enjoy the outdoor kitchen & garden.

Перш за все, гостинний господар призначив нам теплий прийом і забезпечив всі необхідні зручності. Комфортний і чистий будинок був справжньою знахідкою а вікна відкривали неймовірні краєвиди. I have never been in such a clean place. Wonderful host Edi, thanks to whom we felt at home. An ideal place for a family vacation away from the hustle and bustle. This is a great place to stay for those who want somewhere quiet and out of the way. Edi and Linda met us at the property and were kind and helpful all week. Unless you are quite fit I would suggest driving to the beaches in Rabac as the uphill walk on the way back is not easy. Labin is the nearest town with supermarkets etc and is only a few km away. A very enjoyable stay in a beautiful Croatian house with great hosts.

Our favourite place in Istria! Beautiful country house with brand new interior and great facilities. We enjoyed outdoors BBQ and had a great night sleep. It's a walking distance to the beach/Rabac (30 min), and short drive to Labin (less than 10 min). The host Edi met us at the property and invited us for a drink. We'll definitely stay again. Great as a base for Istria trip. Only note - There's no living-room/indoor area to hang out (kitchen+dining table but a pretty small room) - for us it was OK as weather was great and we spent all our time in the garden (and used the outdoors Kitchen) - but would be tricky if it was colder/rainy. Also - Access to bedroom 2 is via bedroom 1 (not fully private bedrooms - but it was OK for us)
